Hanan is the face of Krishna Lunch. As the first one to greet and welcome you to Krishna Lunch, Hanan loves what he does, which is why he has been managing Krishna Lunch for 8 years.
Reason for joining: “My favorite thing to do is to serve prasadam (sanctified food) and I was hoping for an opportunity like this.”
Highlight: “I always feel more energized once at Krishna Lunch.  It’s the happiest hours of my day seeing all the nice people and their grateful smiles.”
Words of advice for first timers to Krishna Lunch: “Give feedback, ask questions, and feel free to express interests and concerns.”
Hobbies: reading, writing, drawing, studying philosophy, and teaching “compassionate management”
Trivia: Hanan served in the Israeli Army for 3 years.

Jagannath is the NEW head cook for Krishna Lunch!!! With his extensive experience in the kitchen, Krishna Lunch is going to get even better!

Having steadily chopped, grated, sliced, and diced vegetables for over 15 years, Gopal is an integral part of Krishna Lunch.
Favorite Dish: sweet and sour subji
Reasons for starting: "I just wanted to help out."
Highlight: “When I first started volunteering, simply going out and serving Krishna Lunch on campus was the highlight of my day."
Hobbies: drumming
Words of advice for first timers to Krishna Lunch: “If you haven't tried it, you don't know what you're missing."

    Trivia: Chaitanya was a NCAA Volleyball champion in college!

    Highlight of serving: "A girl came through the line and told me she had a dream where she got very angry because I wouldn't give her any salad dressing."
    Words of advice for first timers to Krishna Lunch: “It's the best food you'll ever have.”
jasmine Jasmine
Jasmine is one of our most energetic servers who is always ready to speedily serve one and all. She has been working at Krishna Lunch for two years and is a senior at UF.
Favorite Dish: spinach subji
Reason for Joining: “I needed a good way to eat cheaply.”
Hobbies: reading, writing, kung fu.
Advice or words of wisdom for first timers to Krishna Lunch: “Try everything!”
Highlight:
“Towards the beginning of my time serving KL, Hanan told me that it was good I smiled so much, because not everyone smiles as naturally when serving.”  
Trivia: Jasmine does Chinnese Lion dancing in her spare time!  
travis Travis
Travis came to Krishna Lunch by dint of his brother in search of something meaningful to do with his spare time. “I needed something to do and my brother suggested it to me. Now I feel less lazy and more accomplished after serving.” Travis has been serving Krishna Lunch for 3 years.

“Everyone is great to work with and I don’t have to worry about coming to work and someone being mean.”

Travis was born on a military base in Japan.
ian Ian
Ian is Krishna Lunch’s gentle giant whose humble and diligent work ethic is spiced up with occasional kung-fu moves.  He is a senior at UF and has been serving Krishna Lunch for 2 years.
Favorite Dish: spinach subji (Monday)
Reason for starting: “I was always happy at Krishna Lunch and I started taking interest in the Hare Krishna Movement.  So I  thought getting to know the other servers is a good place to start.”
Hobbies: martial arts
Highlight of serving: Hanan’s jokes and storytelling
vaibhavadeepti Dvijamani devi dasi & Vaishnava das
Although they work behind the scenes, Dvijamani and Vaishnava, both Ph.D candidates at UF, are responsible for making one of Krishna Lunch’s most famous items, the SALAD DRESSING!
Volunteering for: 2 years

Highlight: “Getting encouragement from the Krishna Lunch team is really motivating.”

estephania Estefania
Estefania has been a volunteer server at Krishna Lunch for two years and is now your friendly late lunch server at Krishna House.
Favorite KL item: salad and dressing
Reasons for starting: “...seeing how happy everyone looked serving!”
Highlight: “Serving people and seeing them come regularly. There is a relationship that is formed and people recognize and approach you outside of KL because of this relationship.”
Hobbies: hiking, swimming, reading, and music
Words of advice for first timers to Krishna Lunch: “You will feel the love in which it was made with, and you will feel satisfied afterwards.”
zack Zack
Zack is originally a Jersey boy who began working at Krishna Lunch last year and has now been promoted to the drink cart manager!
Favorite dish: spaghetti and chocolate halava
Why did you start serving Krishna lunch? I wanted to pursue living a healthier life closer to Krishna.
Highlights: I really enjoy the enthusiasm, appreciation, and open mindedness shown by students.
Hobbies: cooking, kirtan, reading, learning to play musical instruments
Trivia: At birth I was given a name to share with the family pet, a pig.
olivia2  Olivia
Out of curiosity in the Krishna consciousness movement, Olivia began working at Krishna Lunch after having taken Krishna lunch for three years.
Favorite dish: blueberry halava
Why did you start serving Krishna lunch? To be in a workplace filled with compassionate, sincere people and to promote karma-free living and vegetarianism.
Highlights: kirtan
Hobbies: cooking, herb gardening, camping, learning from wildlife, yoga
Trivia: Olivia spent two months in Kenya last summer and speaks some Swahili.
clayton Clayton
After graduating from Stetson University last May with a BA in Spanish & French, Clayton has been living in Gainesville. He is currently living and working at Krishna House and is responsible for preparing and serving the tea and lemonade at Krishna Lunch.
Favorite dish: creamed spinach
Why did you start serving Krishna lunch? Because I felt that I needed to do something other than serve myself all the time.
Highlights: Interesting conversations with interesting students
Hobbies: languages, books/reading, natural spaces, music(!) and meeting new people
Trivia: Clayton was in a semi-professional swing dance troupe throughout high school and performed several times at Walt Disney World!
